Zoe Gladstone B.A, J.D.

Zoe Gladstone is an Associate Lawyer at Landings LLP. She obtained her JD with honours from the University of Ottawa, where she specialized in human rights and international law.

Prior to joining Landings, Zoe completed her articles at another preeminent immigration and refugee law firm, where she assisted clients on a broad range of complex immigration and refugee cases and causes. She drafted many successful applications, submissions, assessments and appeals before Canadian and international courts and administrative tribunals, including at the appellate level.

Zoe previously worked at the Hon. Irwin Cotler’s Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights, where she exposed and publicized violations of fundamental human rights, including fair trial rights, and pursued accountability on behalf of victims in high-profile cases who were arbitrarily detained. She also interned at the Human Rights Foundation in New York, where she  successfully represented each of the prisoners of conscience on whose behalf she petitioned the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention.

During law school, she conducted research under the Hon. Allan Rock and interned in the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Division of the Department of Justice. She has also co-published several articles and legal analyses with a focus on international human rights and humanitarian law. In addition, Zoe has held positions in Global Affairs Canada’s Human Rights and Humanitarian Law Section, as well as Legal Aid Ontario and The Refugee Hub. Zoe applies her strong combination of interpersonal, analytical and communication skills to tailor her dedicated and empathetic advocacy to each client’s unique case and needs.

Zoe is bilingual in English and French.
